I am a scientist at Kaleido Biosciences, Inc. who recently completed my Ph.D. in the Fierer Lab at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I study microbial communities in order to understand why they differ across locations and environments and to understand the functional implications of these differences. For example, some of my work has assessed the effects of elevated nutrient inputs on microbial communities from global grassland soils, the biogeography of microbial communities associated with plants, and the distribution of microbial communities in Americans’ homes.
